The Body Mind Connection
Chronic tension, pain, and disease are often the body's way of getting our attention. Dialoguing with your own body is an easy yet powerful way of hearing the metaphors inside the symptoms. This can be useful as the focus of a massage session if desired, or can become more of a stand alone treatment using guided imagery.
Energy Work
There is no standard definition for spiritual healing or energy healing and often they are considered to be the same thing. Both terms can refer to widely varying practices, and there are many ways in which they overlap. Since everything is energy, energy healing can simultaneously affect all levels of life – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. The human being is an open system of energy that lives in an energy environment which is constantly shifting and moving. When energy becomes blocked it can be redirected, which is the basis for acupuncture and is thought to be over 2000 years old. My own work stems from studies of systems such as pranic healing, tui na, and intuition. Gem stones and sound are used to enhance the work.
